Mechanism of action:
Clodinafop-propargyl is a post-emergence herbicide that inhibits biosynthesis of lipids in the target plant (ACCase), plant scorching symptoms after systemic uptake of the leaves occurs within one to three weeks on the meristematic tissue. Also, decay in the nodules and emergent portions, and chlorosis (yellowish) of the young leaves are visible.
Indications:
Clodinafop propargyl is used to control annual wheat grasses. This compound is used after 3 leaves of wheat and after the emergence of the weeds (up to the end of their tillering). Use of this poison in barley fields should be avoided.
